Terms of service.

Please note, it is the responsibility of the client who books to understand, agree and be responsible for all booking conditions including payment. Should you have any queries in regards to these terms please contact Britt directly on thebeautyroombybritt@outlook.com

COVID-19 POLICY

If your booking is affected by COVID-19 or government regulations (lockdown) your original booking fee will be forfeited and Britt will transfer bookings where possible for an additional $300 transfer fee. Please note the new date will not be held until the fee is received. This fee only applies to bookings on Saturdays and Sundays as they are popular dates and last minute reschedules result in lost income. Any weekday reschedules will not result in any additional fees.

As a small business being affected by COVID-19 results in many last minute losses of income and to remain operational this is a requirement moving forward.

If Britt cannot accommodate to a new wedding date requested, a refund is provided within this circumstance. A cancellation request is however a result of the loss of the full booking fee in place.

LATE CANCELLATIONS & NO SHOWS - IN-STUDIO BOOKINGS

As booking fees aren't taken, please consider cancelling or rescheduling any appointments as soon as possible to allow the spot to be re-booked. Late cancellations and no shows may result in being unable to re-book in future.

BOOKING FEES & PAYMENT TERMS - BRIDAL & GROUP/TRAVEL

A booking fee for service’s asked by Britt is strictly non-refundable and non-transferrable to any other service or date.
Until your booking fee is received, Britt is available for other bookings. Enquiries alone will not hold a date. Once the booking fee is paid, your booking is officially confirmed as secured. All payments with Britt are 100% non-refundable unless unforeseen circumstances have arisen and Britt is unable to proceed with your booking.

Britt cannot change your booking without notice and you cannot cancel without notifying Britt.

The final balance must be paid no later than 4 weeks/30 days prior to the booked date. If payments have not been received before the wedding date this reserves Britt the right to cancel booking and deemed satisfactory for Britt to not show up on booking date.

CANCELLATIONS - BRIDAL & GROUP/TRAVEL

If you cancel your booking within 3 months prior to your date you will be liable for the balance of the remaining funds. This also applies to additional numbers added to your original booking total, and cannot be removed within 3 months to the booking date or you will still be liable for the full revised amount. Remaining payments of the balance due shall be made as set out in the payment schedule. In the event that client fails to remit payment as specified, Britt shall have the right to immediately terminate this agreement with no further obligation to refund money (including the aforementioned retainer), to attend the scheduled event and complete services.

Britt understands unforeseeable and unfortunate events such as a passing with loved one may arise without notice. In this circumstance your booking fee is able to be held and appointment transferred to another date provided newly requested date is not previously booked. Understanding this may be a difficult time Britt will require as much notice as possible from the client and will attempt to accommodate to reschedule booking.

For all other circumstances where client is unable to transfer to another date and reason for cancellation does not fall under unforeseeable circumstances, a cancellation fee of $300 will apply on top of the booking fee paid.

If there is a reduction in numbers after your booking fee is paid, payment is still required for the original amount of services booked at time of booking fee.

Please note if you choose to increase the booking numbers at any point, you are liable for the new total should the numbers decrease from that point.

It is the client's responsibility to notify Britt of any reductions in booking numbers.

Your booking fee and final payment is non-refundable and non- transferable for another service.

Britt at her discretion, may agree to waive all or part of the cancellation fee if the circumstances of the cancellation in her opinion, are beyond your reasonable control.

BRIDAL TRIALS

Bridal trials are compulsory for Makeup and Hair services. This is to ensure your desired look will be achieved on your wedding day.

If you change your mind after having a trial it is recommended to conduct another trial so that you are happy with the style before the wedding day; same fee of Makeup or Hair to each service applies if another trial is requested. See “services’ for trial rates.

Trials are only held Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm and are subject to availability. If Britt is unable to provide any weekend availability, only in this case weekday may be put forward.

It is your responsibility to advise Britt of any hypersensitivity you face or any parties involved within booking. Britt is not liable for any reactions that may be caused due to sensitivities.

PRICE LIST

Britt may update price list without notice to you. However if you already have a booking, these prices will not affect you including weddings that have been pre-booked and booking fees paid with old price list.

ALLERGIES & HYPERSENSITIVITY

It is your responsibility to advise Britt of any hypersensitivity you face or any parties involved within booking. Britt is not liable for any reactions that may be caused due to sensitivities.

TRAVEL COST & PARKING FEES

Any travel required out of Britt's studio will incur an additional cost and must be advised when enquiring for your wedding. Where travel is over a 4 hour round trip from Britt's studio, this may incur an accommodation cost based on your party numbers and/or booking start time.
Parking costs incurred by Britt are at the client’s expense; Britt will notify you at the time of your bridal booking and will be invoiced for parking fees. If Britt is unable to receive quotes on parking prior to booking day you will be required to pay this expense on the day.

SUDDEN ILLNESS/ UNFORESEEN REASONS

In the event that Britt may cancel your booking due to serious illness or other unforeseen reasons, Britt will attempt to find you a suitable replacement however it is not guaranteed that Britt will be able to find a replacement.
It is the client's responsibility to confirm the booking details with the replacement. If a trial was organised prior to the cancellation, Britt will forward the style and product details to the replacement.
If a replacement cannot be found Britt will refund funds paid in this circumstance where reasons are beyond her control and forced to cancel your booking.

OH&S AND HYGIENE

Britt is not under any circumstances responsible for any allergic reactions to products & tools used. The responsibility is on the client to disclose any allergies or hypersensitivity. Clients may choose to use their own products under special circumstances but the rate for services remains the same.

Britt does not accept false eyelashes from clients to use due to quality control. Please note that Britt cannot work on clients who are contagiously ill or have contagious illnesses. Services will be refused at her discretion; it is the client’s responsibility to disclose any illness/s and hypersensitivities at initial contact.

MAKEUP ARTIST'S RESPONSIBILITIES

Britt hereby agrees to perform Makeup/Hair services for client at the event specified in a professional, work like manner according to the prevailing standards in the industry.
Britt does not organise assistants, and will work on a maximum 6-9 clients depending on the time allowance for your booking based on your "ready by" time.
It is the client's responsibly to organise an additional artist if the numbers require this. Britt is happy to recommend any additional artists if required.
Britt is not responsible for the impact on the final product or any interference caused by guests or other vendors at the event. Britt will make every effort to guarantee requests by client.

UNSAFE CONDITIONS

If Britt is exposed to (i) unsafe conditions, or (ii) objectionable or illegal acts at the event, Britt reserves the right to take reasonable action to remedy such a situation, including but not limited to leaving the event. In such circumstances, Britt shall not be obligated to refund any of the amounts paid by client because of such action.

COPYRIGHT

All photographs taken by Britt at the Event/Booking, in whatever form, are copyright protected. Britt will allow reproduction and publishing for personal use (e.g. social media, Instagram, Facebook, blogs).

USE OF IMAGES

It is imperative that we continue to update our portfolio and demonstrate our work to future prospective brides. By proceeding with your booking, you give confirmation for The Beauty Room by Britt to contact the clients wedding photographer to access professional images and use them on social media/website for promotional purposes. Please let The Beauty Room by Britt know in advance if you do not wish to be photographed or not happy with The Beauty Room by Britt Ltd sharing images for marketing purposes. The Beauty Room by Britt is happy to be photographed on your wedding day however please ensure we are tagged @thebeautyroom.bybitt or credited for the work performed.

TERM

The term of this agreement shall commence upon the execution of this booking and shall terminate upon Britt's delivery of the final service. Unless terminated earlier as provided herein.
